What is it? The Advance Earned Income Credit (EIC) is a federal tax credit for working families. It allows you to get part of your Federal Earned Income Credit in every paycheck. The payments are tax-free, and your employer is required to participate if you qualify. What do you get? Up to $73 more in each paycheck (if paid bi-weekly), for a total of 1,750 for the year. How long do you get it? The Advance EIC lasts for the whole year, as long as you still qualify. You can apply again at the start of the following year. |
